My story “She Sleeps Beneath the Sea” is out now in FAERIE!
I love the art the Faerie magazine staff came up with to go with my story, but the entire issue is so beautiful. The theme is “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” perfect to savor while sitting out in a night garden (how to make a night garden is the subject of one of the articles, by the way!) . . .
If you want to grab a copy, it’s available either here or in Barnes and Noble.
My super talented friends have created some naga artwork in conjunction with the story, which I want to share with you here.
First, here’s a really fun nagini warrior piece by Nor Sanavongsay (@ArtofNor on Twitter).
Second, two paintings by Mia S-N (@likhain on Twitter). Just look at them!
How gorgeous are they? I already told Mia I am snapping up one of them for my writing/dreaming room. She’s got a Patreon, if you’d like to help her keep creating impossibly luscious art starring brown women from folklore. (Um, yes, please. :D)
And now to go finish getting ready to leave for Nova Ren Suma’s YA writing workshop next week!
